Job summary

Allerton Grange School in Leeds is seeking a Progress & Welfare Manager (Year 7) to lead pastoral care and support student progress and wellbeing for Year 7 entrants.

The role works with the Behaviour and Welfare Team to embed the KLAS curriculum pillars and to inspire students, staff and the wider school community toward high standards and continuous improvement.

We wish to appoint a well-motivated and talented Year Manager to join our Behaviour and Welfare Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting student progress and wellbeing, with a particular focus on Year 7 and ensuring a smooth and successful transition from Year 6 to secondary school. This Progress and Welfare Manager role (often called a Head of Year or Pastoral Lead in some schools) is a non-teaching professional position. Working closely with the Key Stage Leader, the postholder will help to embed the four cornerstones of the KLAS curriculum: knowledge, literacy, aspirational enrichment and social mobility.
