Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Progress Tutor to join Stephenson College on a term-time only basis. You will provide academic, pastoral and progression support to a caseload across vocational programmes, monitoring progress and promoting wellbeing.

You’ll work with Course Leaders to update on student progress, deliver high-quality tutorials and contribute to attendance and achievement strategies while supporting students aged 16–19.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a level 3 qualification in education (or a relevant subject).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with students and student groups.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Ability to develop and organise group work and intervention strategies.
• Experience of working with young people aged 16-19.

Responsibilities

• Support a caseload of students on vocational programmes.
• Support college attendance, retention and achievement strategies with a proactive student support service.
• Work closely with Course Leaders to ensure regular updates on student progress.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging and enriching group tutorials across College.
