Job summary

Colchester Institute is seeking a Part Time Progress and Destination Tutor – Public Services and Sport to support students on their chosen destinations, from further study to employment. You will deliver personal development sessions, manage caseloads, and use Google Classroom to deliver sessions.

The role focuses on students aged 16-19, with emphasis on engagement, progression planning, and collaboration with curriculum staff at Colchester Campus.

Qualifications

• Experience with face-to-face work with diverse age/client groups, especially 16-19.
• Ability to mentor and motivate individuals against goals.
• Calm handling of difficult situations and conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Support induction and orientation to identify destinations and barriers to learning.
• Deliver weekly tutorials aligned with a central programme on progression and employability.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour and attitudes, taking timely action as needed.

Level 3 or above in relevant subject
