Job summary

Oldham College in Greater Manchester is seeking a committed Programme Tutor - Maths to support the effective delivery of college services and priorities.

Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons, monitor progress, provide feedback, and differentiate teaching to meet diverse learner needs, including those with SEND. The role emphasises quality assurance, safeguarding, and a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher status or working towards with strong Maths background.
  • Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally FE.
  • Strong communication skills to engage and inspire learners.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to support diverse learner needs.
  • Organised and proactive with accurate progress tracking.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking a committed Programme Tutor - Maths to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements
  • Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement, taking action to address any concerns
  • Provide clear targets and timely, constructive feedback to support learner development
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
Skills And Experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified teacher (or working towards) with a strong Maths subject background
  • Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally within Further Education
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to support a range of learner needs
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate records
