Job summary

Oldham College in Greater Manchester is seeking a committed Programme Tutor - Esports to deliver high-quality teaching across Level 1–3 Esports programmes. This 0.6 FTE role offers the chance to grow an exciting new Esports provision and help shape future HE pathways.

You will inspire learners through engaging lessons, provide pastoral support, and build strong links with learners, parents and industry partners to drive attendance and outcomes.

• Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Experience delivering engaging teaching and achieving positive learner outcomes.
• Passion for Esports and understanding of industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment across Level 1–3 Esports programmes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Programme Tutor - Esports to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities. This role is a 0.6 FTE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

• Deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment across Level 1, 2 and 3 Esports programmes.
• Lead the development and growth of an exciting new Esports provision, with opportunities to shape future HE pathways.
• Inspire and support learners to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
• Build strong relationships with learners, parents and industry partners to promote excellent attendance, engagement and outcomes.
• Work with leading partners including the British Esports Federation, Manchester City in the Community, Manchester City Esports and Williams F1.
• Help develop an industry-leading Esports curriculum within state-of-the-art specialist facilities.
• Embed the College's values of Integrity, Ambition and Inclusion in everything you do.
• Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and subject expertise in Esports or a related field.
• Experience delivering engaging teaching and achieving positive learner outcomes.
• Passion for Esports and an understanding of the industry's current trends and opportunities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with learners, parents and external partners.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and provide effective pastoral support to learners.
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and inclusive practice.
