Job summary

Oldham College in Greater Manchester is seeking a committed Programme Tutor – Esports to support delivery of Esports programmes at Levels 1-3. This role is 0.6 FTE and focuses on teaching, learning and assessment with opportunities to shape future HE pathways.

You will lead development of new Esports provision, build relationships with learners, parents and industry partners, and promote inclusive practice while upholding college values.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and Esports subject expertise.
  • Experience delivering engaging teaching and achieving learner outcomes.
  • Passion for Esports and understanding of industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment across Level 1, 2 and 3 Esports programmes.
  • Lead the development and growth of an exciting new Esports provision, with opportunities to shape future HE pathways.
  • Inspire and support learners to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching and pastoral care.
  • Build strong relationships with learners, parents and industry partners to promote attendance, engagement and outcomes.
  • Work with leading partners including the British Esports Federation, Manchester City in the Community, Manchester City Esports and Williams F1.
  • Help develop an industry-leading Esports curriculum within state-of-the-art specialist facilities.
  • Embed the College's values of Integrity, Ambition and Inclusion in everything you do.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Skills And Experience
  • Relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) and subject expertise in Esports or a related field.
  • Experience delivering engaging teaching and achieving positive learner outcomes.
  • Passion for Esports and an understanding of the industry's current trends and opportunities.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with learners, parents and external partners.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and provide effective pastoral support to learners.
  • A collaborative approach with a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and inclusive practice.
