Job summary

Oxford Population Health, part of the University of Oxford, is seeking a Programme Manager for the HELIX Initiative. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, governance structures, and strategic delivery across the Oxford AI/HELIX portfolio within the Big Data Institute.

You will manage day-to-day operations, monitor milestones, budgets, and reporting to a broad range of stakeholders across departments, and contribute to cross-institutional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
• Experience of managing technical or scientific research programmes, ideally spanning multiple departments or institutions.
• Project/programme management experience, including capturing milestones, monitoring progress, managing budgets, and outcome reporting to a broad range of multidisciplinary stakeholders (both internal and external).
• Experience of, or strong aptitude for, financial monitoring and reporting, including tracking budgets and funding transitions across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational management of the HELIX portfolio, including its governance and advisory structures.
• Monitor delivery against programme milestones and deliverables, escalating delays or emerging risks.
• Update priorities and timelines as required.
• Manage budgets and funding transitions across departments.
