Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking a programme manager to oversee drug, alcohol and offending behaviour programmes in a custodial setting. You will lead a team of facilitators and support staff, align delivery with accreditation standards and manage resource planning to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the facilitation team and the suite of interventions.
• Ensure treatment managers are effectively managed and supported.
• Deliver programme work in line with Accreditation Document.
• Plan for effective delivery for the forthcoming year considering prisoner population and staff training.
• Manage delivery of complex/high intensity programmes such as the Sex Offender Treatment Programme.
• Liaise with psychological services to allocate resources for sex offender treatment programmes.
• Attend meetings at local and national level per Audit requirements.
• Consult on introduction of accredited and non-accredited programmes.
• Ensure staff participate fully in supervision.
• Develop productive relationships with all staff.
• Manage delivery of clinical and non-clinical offending behaviour programmes.
• Liaise with Senior Management Team on policies set by HMPPS.
• Ensure standards in programme manuals and audit documents are met.
• Promote MDT teamwork in AIMs and staff awareness sessions.
• Manage group members’ treatment needs as part of the AIM team.
• Promote integration with CARATS and other drug strategy processes.
• Produce data analysis of local drug strategy for area reports.
• Contribute to risk management and audit baselines.
• Support improvements from HMIP/MQPL actions and local audits.
• Support achievement of Service Delivery Indicators milestones.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure health and safety compliance.
