Company:

Company: Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme Manager to play a key role in delivering the Future NHS Workforce Solution (FWS) Programme at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The Future NHS Workforce Solution is a nationally led transformation programme that will replace the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and modernise workforce, payroll, recruitment and people management processes across the NHS. As an Early Adopter organisation, Hampshire Hospitals has a unique opportunity to help shape and influence this significant national transformation.

Working closely with the Future NHS Workforce Solution Transformation Lead, the post holder will lead and coordinate local implementation activity, ensuring the Trust is fully prepared for transition to the new system. The role will involve engaging with stakeholders across Human Resources, Medical Staffing, Recruitment, Workforce Planning, Payroll, Finance, Digital and Operational services to deliver programme objectives and sustainable change.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme or project manager with strong change management, stakeholder engagement and delivery skills to contribute to one of the largest workforce transformation programmes currently being undertaken within the NHS.

Lead and coordinate the Trust's implementation of the Future NHS Workforce Solution programme, ensuring delivery of agreed milestones, benefits and outcomes.

Develop, maintain and monitor programme plans, risk registers, issue logs and reporting mechanisms to support effective governance.

Work closely with national, regional and local stakeholders to ensure programme requirements, dependencies and timelines are understood and delivered.

Support the redesign and transformation of workforce processes to maximise the benefits of the new workforce solution.

Facilitate workshops, meetings and engagement events with operational, clinical and corporate teams to support programme delivery.

Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and updates for programme boards, senior leaders and key stakeholders.

Identify, manage and elevate programme risks, issues and interdependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place.

Support change management and communications activity, helping colleagues understand and adopt new ways of working.

Monitor programme performance, benefits realisation and resource utilisation, ensuring delivery remains on track.

Work collaboratively across HR, Payroll, Workforce Planning, Recruitment, Medical Staffing, Digital and Finance teams to ensure a coordinated approach to implementation.

Contribute to post-implementation reviews, lessons learned activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.

Our cultural ambition is to have a culture that places people at the heart of all we do, where we all belong, and where learning, improvement and excellence thrive.

We provide specialist services to people across the UK and internationally. We are one of only two centres in the UK treating pseudomyxoma peritonei (a rare form of abdominal cancer) and we are leaders in the field of tertiary liver cancer and colorectal cancer.
