Job summary

Expert Employment is seeking a Senior Programme Manager to lead complex engineering projects from bid stage through to delivery. You will manage customer-funded development programmes, coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.

This role requires a degree or HND in PM or Engineering, about five years of experience, strong planning, budgeting, risk management and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering or technical projects from concept to completion.
• Proven budgeting, scheduling and risk-management skills.
• Experience bidding and delivering customer-funded programmes.
• APM qualification is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and commercial teams.
• Monitor project performance, financial forecasts, and programme progress.
• Support bid preparation and project governance.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Requirements

• Degree, HND, or equivalent experience in Project Management or Engineering.
• Around five years of experience managing engineering or technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion.
• APM qualification is desirable.
• Experience within defence, maritime, aerospace, or other highly regulated engineering environments would be advantageous.
