Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES) invites applications for a Programme Development Worker to expand learning opportunities across the Bolsover district. You will build partnerships with health, wellbeing and community organisations to identify local needs and develop learning that improves confidence, independence and inclusion.

Fixed-term until July 2027, with potential for continuation subject to funding.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach in the post-16 education sector (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training).
• Experience developing productive partnerships with community, health, voluntary or public sectors.
• Understanding how learning improves health, wellbeing and life opportunities.
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or other additional needs.
• Able to identify opportunities and develop innovative local learning programmes.
• Excellent communication, networking and relationship-building skills.
• Organised, self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload.
• Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with health, wellbeing, social prescribing, community and supported learning organisations across the Bolsover district.
• Identify local learning needs and work collaboratively with partners to develop learning opportunities that respond to community priorities.
• Support the development of programmes that improve health, wellbeing, confidence, independence and social inclusion.
• Develop supported learning opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs.
• Engage adults who may be isolated, disadvantaged, unemployed or facing barriers to learning.
• Work with colleagues, tutors and partners to develop innovative learning programmes that meet local needs.
• Support learners to progress into further learning, volunteering, community participation or employment where appropriate.
• Monitor programme performance and contribute to quality improvement and service development activities.
• Undertake teaching, assessment and learner support activities as agreed with the Programme Development Manager. This expectation is reflected within the existing Programme Development Worker role profile.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across all aspects of your work.
