Job summary

Southern Water in the United Kingdom is seeking a Programme Coordinator to join our Water and Wastewater Asset Strategy and Planning teams. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, involvement in strategic decision‑making and hands‑on responsibility in a vital utility sector.

Based in Falmer or Durrington with hybrid working (2 days in the office), you will coordinate internal and regulatory commitments, manage budgets around £0.5m, produce reports with Excel and Power BI, and support

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is essential for data reporting and analysis.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating internal and regulatory commitments and manage progress tracking and reporting across key projects with clear ownership and on-time delivery.
• Provide senior stakeholders with visibility over milestones, risks, and blockers.
• Budget oversight and financial coordination with a c.£0.5m budget – raising purchase orders, tracking invoices, forecasting spend and supporting regular financial reviews.
• Regulatory reporting programme support – coordinate inputs for annual reporting with clear owners and timelines.
• Information gathering and analysis – pull data from across teams to produce reports, visuals and insights using Excel and Power BI.
