Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the administration of assessment boards, including; collection and preparation of data, updating student records and informing students of their results, in line with university quality assurance procedures and deadlines.
  • Providing administrative support for examinations including, gathering data, collating and checking examination papers and supporting students with additional requirements.
  • Advise students and colleagues on quality standards ad compliance with University regulations and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a team to deliver an excellent service to students and colleagues. The Programme Assistant within the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Environment plays an important role in supporting Programme Administrators in the effective delivery of programme-related administrative tasks for our academic programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to students, staff and external partners.

Maintain accurate data within the student information system, updating records in line with University procedures and processes and undertaking quality checks.

Contribute to the administration of assessment boards, including; collection and preparation of data, updating student records and informing students of their results, in line with university quality assurance procedures and deadlines.

Providing administrative support for examinations including, gathering data, collating and checking examination papers and supporting students with additional requirements.

About The School

Science Engineering and Environment is an applied science and engineering faculty creating innovative AI and sustainable technologies collaboratively to deliver meaningful impact with an inclusive and ethical focus. We play a major role in the delivery of the overall teaching, research and innovation activity within the University of Salford. The Faculty has two departments (Computer Science and Engineering; and Built and Natural Environments), supported by knowledgeable professional and technical services teams. Underpinned by thematic research centres and two Innovation Institutes (Energy House and Acoustics), we co-create teaching opportunities with students and apprentices, developing the next generation of engineers and scientists.
