Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to oversee an interdisciplinary program serving individuals with mental health needs. You will supervise staff, coordinate care across housing, employment, and wellness services, and drive program performance under DMH requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a nonprofit social service agency.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health needs, physical health problems, poverty, and homelessness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; tact and diplomacy.
• Strong facilitation and relationship-building abilities.
• Budgeting experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Oversee FSP program teams and ensure high-quality care.
• Coordinate staff meetings and case conferences.
• Ensure program budgets and billing goals are met.
• Develop partnerships with community resources.
• Recruit, hire and mentor new staff.
