Job description

AEE (Amazon Exports & Expansion) Tech builds and tests technology that extends Amazon's footprint to new countries by offering Best-At-Amazon with an exceptional delivery experience, selection, and convenience localized for our customers. We enable Amazon to enter new international marketplaces, providing opportunities for consumers in new regions to find, discover, and buy anything online, while supporting local and international sellers to use Amazon as an essential sales channel. Our efforts also support the growth of emerging marketplace businesses. Country expansion and global store launches, along with exports, are vital to Amazon's overall global success. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of this journey!

AEE is seeking a thoughtful and collaborative Program Manager to join our expanding Expansion team. The team supports major projects across multiple host teams, defining and tracking goals, and ensuring developers have the resources needed to foster creativity and develop customer-focused solutions. If you're passionate about developing end-to-end processes, routines, artifacts, and engagement strategies that have a significant impact on customer experience within an inspiring team, we would love to hear from you.

You Will:
  • Manage and evolve our end-to-end expansion process, including new steps for country launches.
  • Establish supporting rituals and routines such as sprint planning, grooming, and board management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leadership, supporting roadmap planning and increasing team engagement.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other partners to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Create detailed and high-level reports and presentations on program health, resource allocation, and capacity planning for leadership.
Key job responsibilities
  • Drive program objectives related to capacity, performance, technology, compliance, and safety. Define requirements, develop project plans, and manage implementation across stakeholders.
  • Scale services, tools, and processes to support business growth while maintaining high customer experience standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve critical issues, manage escalations, and propose corrective actions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and process excellence.
A day in the life

While your goal is to delight customers, each day will bring new challenges. You will lead stakeholder meetings to drive program alignment, prepare and review strategic documents, challenge the status quo, and make data-driven decisions. Planning and organization are key to seamless execution. You will continuously identify new problems to solve and collaborate with global teams.

Minimum qualifications
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and SQL.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data to drive improvements.
  • Experience managing end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and building processes, schedules, and project plans.
