Job summary

LEAR CORPORATION is seeking a Program Buyer in Coventry to manage sourcing activities for current and new programs. This permanent position involves coordinating with various teams, supporting supplier management, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a degree in business or engineering, strong MS Office skills, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• 2+ years of purchasing or similar experience.
• Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• CIPS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sourcing activities and RFQs for programs.
• Ensure smooth communication between engineering, program, and purchasing teams.
• Assist with contract negotiations and material tracking.

Position: Program Buyer
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Program Purchasing Manager
Mission: Manage sourcing activities for current and new programs and support annual cost-down initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate sourcing activities and RFQs for programs
• Maintain BOM cost tracking and sourcing calendars
• Ensure smooth communication between engineering, program, and purchasing teams
• Support supplier management, cost savings, and purchasing reports
• Assist with contract negotiations, PPAP, and material tracking
• Work with logistics to improve packaging and freight costs

Requirements:

• 2+ years of purchasing or similar experience
• Strong MS Office skills
• Fluent in English (second European language is a plus)
• Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience
• CIPS preferred
• Willingness to travel in the UK
