Position: Program Buyer
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Program Purchasing Manager
Mission: Manage sourcing activities for current and new programs and support annual cost-down initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate sourcing activities and RFQs for programs
• Maintain BOM cost tracking and sourcing calendars
• Ensure smooth communication between engineering, program, and purchasing teams
• Support supplier management, cost savings, and purchasing reports
• Assist with contract negotiations, PPAP, and material tracking
• Work with logistics to improve packaging and freight costs
Requirements:
• 2+ years of purchasing or similar experience
• Strong MS Office skills
• Fluent in English (second European language is a plus)
• Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience
• CIPS preferred
• Willingness to travel in the UK
