Job summary

Sphere Solutions are recruiting a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor for housing projects in St Austell. The role ensures profitable delivery, and strict adherence to cost, time, quality, safety and environmental standards. A competitive package is on offer, with progression potential.

The candidate will handle pre-/post-contract commercial activities, tendering, valuations and contract documentation, while monitoring costs and performance to meet targets and regulations.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent level 5 in building construction.
• Experience as a quantity surveyor in the house building industry.
• Understanding of the local supply chain.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety.
• Extensive experience delivering company profits.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-contract commercial support across major and minor works.
• Assist with tender preparation with quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage valuations, variations, payments and contract documentation.
• Monitor project costs, programme and quality to maintain commercial targets.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, regulations and safety, with accurate reporting.
