Job summary

Robertson Group in Gateshead is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to deliver complete financial and contractual control on building projects, ensuring profitability and timely reporting. You will forecast, monitor and report on cost/value, advising on contract finance and valuations.

The role requires expertise in budgeting, tracking costs, and managing variations to optimise outcomes for Robertson Group and its stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified with budgeting experience in construction projects.
• Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills are essential.
• Proven ability to set realistic objectives and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with operational management on Contract and Commercial issues.
• Maintain accurate financial control systems and report Cost/Value Reconciliation monthly.
• Advise on all financial aspects of contracts to maximise valuations and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor site progress and issue notices in line with contract procedures and timescales.
• Prepare forecasts of cost and value for all trades and Preliminaries.
