Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) for its Private Wealth and Private Client team in Exeter. This role suits a UK-qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong trusts, estates and tax expertise, focused on knowledge management rather than billing targets.

You will support high-net-worth clients, develop precedents and training materials, and contribute to thought leadership and firm-wide updates. The position offers hybrid working and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong experience in trusts, estates, tax and private client law.
• 7+ years' PQE in Private Client, Private Wealth, Trusts, Tax or Estates is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering training and presenting technical information.
• PSL or knowledge management experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across trusts, tax, estates and private wealth.
• Monitor legal developments, case law and HMRC guidance.
• Create and maintain precedents, templates and know-how.
• Deliver internal training, CPD and legal updates.

Exeter, Devon | Hybrid Working | Part-Time or Full-Time

Professional Support Lawyer – Private Client

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join a highly regarded Private Wealth and Private Client team in Exeter.

This role would suit a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong experience in trusts, estates, tax and private client law who is looking to move away from fee earning into a knowledge-focused PSL position.

You’ll support a leading team advising high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families, while helping to develop legal knowledge, training and best practice across the firm.

The PSL role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support across trusts, tax, estates and private wealth
• Monitoring legal, regulatory, case law and HMRC developments
• Creating and maintaining legal precedents, templates and know-how
• Delivering internal training, CPD and legal updates
• Supporting business development through technical articles, tenders and content
• Contributing to knowledge management and best practice initiatives
• Working closely with existing PSL, Learning & Development and wider legal teams

There are no billing targets, allowing you to focus on technical excellence, training, knowledge sharing and innovation.

What are we looking for?

• UK-qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
• Ideally 7+ years' PQE in Private Client, Private Wealth, Trusts, Tax or Estates
• Strong technical knowledge of trusts, estate planning and tax
• Experience advising HNW and UHNW clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident delivering training and presenting technical information
• Previous PSL or knowledge management experience is advantageous but not essential
