We are seeking to recruit a permanent, full-time Professional Placements Administrator to join our vital placements team within the College of Health, Education and Public Life
This is a busy and highly responsible role working within a supportive and well-established team, and you will have responsibility for organising and monitoring the placement of students with a range of external placement providers. This will involve assessing the suitability of placements and matching students to placements appropriately. You will have extensive contact with students and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external placement provider contacts, providing practical advice and up to date placement data, so your effective communication and customer service skills will be invaluable for building effective relationships.
As well as using your own initiative, you will need to be able to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a large and friendly team. You must have the ability to work systematically to meet frequent hard deadlines and have the problem-solving abilities to proactively deal with unexpected change. The ability to plan and prioritise your own workload and to accurately and confidently work with databases and Excel is essential to this role.
To be successful, you should have:
Experience of workingwithlarge databases and software platforms is required, and an understanding of University processes would also be of benefit, but by no means essential.
