Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Professional Lead for the Radiology Centre to provide high-level clinical leadership and strategic direction across Radiology services.

You will work with inpatients and outpatients, developing and delivering the Radiology Centre strategy within the Clinical Support Services framework and ensuring staff are supported, trained and compliant with professional codes and regulations.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Support Services Division, as we seek applications for a Professional Lead for our Radiology Centre.

The Clinical Support Services Division comprises of four centres: Pathology, Pharmacy, Radiology and Therapies.

We are seeking applicants who have proven experience working at a senior level and who have implemented and led changes in a supportive and collaborative style working in partnership with senior colleagues.

There will be a requirement to work at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and the Community Diagnostics Centre, Telford.

The role is accountable to the Radiology Centre Manager and will support with developing and delivering the strategy for Radiology services which integrates into the overarching Clinical Support Services Divisional Strategy.

The post holder will provide professional leadership for professional staff across Inpatients and Outpatients ensuring staff are supported and empowered, facilitated to develop their knowledge and skills, and that they abide by their Professional Code of Conduct and Healthcare Professions Council regulations.

The post holder is responsible for providing professional leadership and for providing professional advice and recommendations to the Trust and key external agencies.

The successful candidate will work with other centres to deliver the Trust’s overall strategic objectives, ensuring that the patient experience is a key priority.

This is a pivotal role within the Radiology Centre. You will join a dedicated senior team working in a rapidly moving but supportive environment. You will need to be resilient, flexible, influential and informative as well as having a 'can do' attitude.
