The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a Professional Lead for the Radiology Centre to provide professional leadership across radiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings, and to develop and deliver the divisional strategy.

The role requires experience at a senior level, leading change in a collaborative style, and working across multiple sites including Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital to improve patient care and staff development.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Clinical Support Services Division, as we seek applications for a Professional Lead for our Radiology Centre.

The Clinical Support Services Division comprises of four centres: Pathology, Pharmacy, Radiology and Therapies.

We are seeking applicants who have proven experience working at a senior level and who have implemented and led changes in a supportive and collaborative style working in partnership with senior colleagues.

There will be a requirement to work at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and the Community Diagnostics Centre, Telford.

Main duties of the job

The role is accountable to the Radiology Centre Manager and will support with developing and delivering the strategy for Radiology services which integrates into the overarching Clinical Support Services Divisional Strategy.

The post holder will provide professional leadership for professional staff across Inpatients and Outpatients ensuring staff are supported and empowered, facilitated to develop their knowledge and skills, and that they abide by their Professional Code of Conduct and Healthcare Professions Council regulations.

The post holder is responsible for providing professional leadership and for providing professional advice and recommendations to the Trust and key external agencies.
