Job summary

QBE Insurance in Leeds is recruiting a Claims Adjuster within the FSM claims team to examine, evaluate and process claims estimates and paid claim values in line with policy terms and conditions. Join a hybrid role reporting to the Claims Team Leader to deliver exceptional claims services and support for high complexity professional indemnity claims.

You will investigate, manage and resolve cases, ensuring adherence to SLAs, detecting coverage issues, and reserving accurately while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience handling professional negligence claims.
• Knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Proven experience dealing with policy coverage.
• Organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to make balanced and impartial judgements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Relationship management skills.
• Able to use MS Office applications and strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, manage, and resolve professional indemnity claims.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and authority limits while managing claims.
• Support the implementation of the Claims strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets.
• Identify and investigate coverage issues to ensure liability aligns with contractual commitments.
• Reserve accurately to ensure the company’s liability is clear.
• Respond to messages and correspondence proactively within agreed timeframes.
• Proactively manage estimates and billings.
