Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Production Test Engineer to join on a 12-month contract basis in Bolton, onsite. You will support testing and diagnostics of circuit cards during production and help ensure targets are met on time, cost and quality.

The role requires experience with digital and analogue test principles, circuit card testing to component level, and the ability to generate test instructions and reports while collaborating with Quality and Operations.

Qualifications

• Essential: Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent.
• Essential: Good understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement and test principles, and fault diagnosis techniques, with demonstrable experience down to component level.
• Essential: Experience of circuit card testing is essential, down to component level.
• Essential: Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports.
• Essential: Ability to plan and organise one's work according to assigned priorities.

Responsibilities

• Providing test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including supporting the introduction of new test equipment.
• Testing and diagnosing circuit cards down to component level.
• Generating test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports - based on higher-level requirements and information.
• Promptly identifying remedial and corrective actions to allow Manufacturing to continue in line with the programme, following production test failures.
• Supporting meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.

Job description

Our client has an opportunity for a Production Test Engineer to join them on a contract basis for 12 months.
You will play a vital role in supporting testing and diagnostics of circuit cards during the production phase of the product lifecycle. You will use your experience to provide technical support to the manufacturing test capability, to ensure programme targets are met to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
Role: Production Test Engineer - PCB
Location: Bolton - fully onsite
Hourly Rate: between 34- 37 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required to start, full SC to follow
Hours: 37 hours per week
What you'll be doing:
