Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation in Bolton is seeking a Production Test Engineer to support testing and diagnostics of circuit cards during production. You will provide technical support to manufacturing test capabilities to meet time, cost and quality targets.

You will work with a small team in a fast-paced environment, performing test engineering on shopfloor, generating test specs, and reporting findings to enable continued production.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent.
• Good understanding of testing principles and fault diagnosis down to component level.
• Experience of circuit card testing is essential.
• Clear written and verbal communication for test specs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Providing test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including support for new test equipment.
• Testing and diagnosing circuit cards down to component level.
• Generating test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports.
• Identifying remedial actions to keep manufacturing on track with the programme.
• Supporting meetings with Quality and Operations to update on Test Engineering actions.
