Job summary

Arm is seeking a Production Test Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Bolton. The role involves testing and diagnosing electrical/electronic systems down to component level, generating test specifications and operator instructions, and supporting quality and operations with Test Engineering actions.

The ideal candidate holds an HNC in Engineering or equivalent and has hands-on experience with digital/analogue measurement and automated test equipment in electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC level in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience testing down to component level.
• Knowledge of digital and analogue measurement and test principles.
• Awareness of RF and microwave technology at subsystem level.
• Experience with environmental testing (ESS).
• Operating manual and automated test equipment in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor.
• Testing and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit cards down to component level.
• Generating test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports - based on higher-level requirements and information.
• Identify remedial and corrective actions.
• Supporting meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.

• Providing test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor
• Testing and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit cards down to component level

Your skillset may include:
