Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Production Test Engineer based in Bolton on a 12-month contract. The role offers £37ph Inside IR35 and requires an HNC or higher in engineering, with experience testing down to component level.

You will join a market-leading defence and aerospace company, providing test engineering support on the shopfloor, generating test specifications and reports, and working with Quality and Operations to drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

• HNC level in Engineering or higher.
• Experience testing down to component level.
• Knowledge of digital/analogue measurement and test principles.
• Understanding RF/microwave at subsystem level.
• Experience with environmental testing (including ESS).
• Experience with shopfloor test support.

Responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor.
• Test and diagnose electrical/electronic systems down to component level.
• Generate test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports.
• Identify remedial and corrective actions.
• Support meetings with Quality and Operations for status updates.

Production Test Engineer

12-month contract

As the Production Test Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Providing test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor
• Testing and diagnosing complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit cards down to component level
• Generating test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports - based on higher-level requirements and information
• Identify remedial and corrective actions
• Supporting meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations

Your skillset may include:

• Minimum HNC level of Engineering qualifications or equivalent
• A good understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement and test principles, and associated equipment down to component level
• Awareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration, and test principles.
• An understanding of RF and microwave technology at subsystem level
• An understanding of Environmental testing (including ESS)
• Operating manual and automated test equipment in an electronics manufacturing environment
