  • Design, develop, and procure test equipment, jigs, fixtures, and associated tooling.
  • Develop test procedures and support the coordination of production engineering activities.
  • Support the implementation of engineering change requests.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, best practice, and cost‑reduction initiatives to improve capacity, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Support Continuous Improvement activity across production and engineering functions.
  • Assist the Quality team with inspection, investigation, and corrective‑action activities.
  • Conduct engineering analysis to reduce production and test‑equipment downtime.
  • Fault‑find electrical and electromechanical equipment, investigate root causes, and deliver practical resolutions.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications, production processes, and relevant engineering technologies.
  • Support preparation of budgets and monitor relevant expenditure.
  • Provide technical support to customers when required, including occasional travel to resolve production or product issues.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer for production staff.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, quality requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workshop and office environment.

  • Strong electrical fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis capability.
  • Good computer literacy and confidence producing technical documentation.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
