Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Production Technician (Electronics) to join a world‑leading oil & gas specialist in Bicester. You will assemble bespoke electronic products and gain on‑the‑job training with clear progression paths, in a role offering overtime and a good work‑life balance.

Based in the workshop, you will solder and cleave components, troubleshoot production issues, and work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Electronics background with soldering and cleaving experience.
• Experience assembling mechanical/electronic products is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Are you a Production Technician or assembler looking to join an Electronics oil & gas specialist offering specialist training and opportunities to progress to lead levels with plenty of overtime and a great work-life balance?

This world‑leading specialist pioneers cutting‑edge zone monitoring solutions tailored for the offshore oil & gas industry. With products on over 100 assets worldwide and offices in the UK and US, this is a great opportunity for a technician to assemble bespoke Red Zone safety equipment.

In this role you will be based in the workshop in Bicester. You will be responsible for assembling a wide range of bespoke electronic products using technical skills such as soldering and cleaving. You will have on‑the‑job training to learn how to assemble these specialist electronics and have a chance to progress through their current tight‑knit team.

This role would suit a Production Technician or similar looking to join a global manufacturer working on unique Oil & Gas equipment.

The Role:

• Assembly of mechanical / electronic products for the oil and gas industry
• Troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during the production process
• Monday - Friday (9am-5pm)
• Overtime available (paid at 1.5x)

The Person:

• Electronics background with experience soldering and cleaving
• Production Operative, Assembler or similar
• Willing to commute to office in Bicester
