Job summary

Azenta UK, Ltd. is seeking a Production Technician to support the injection moulding process at our Wotton site. The role focuses on tool changes, setting up moulding parameters and ensuring products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Tool Room and Quality Control, completing production records and maintaining a safe, tidy production area. On-site, full-time position requiring own transport to the rural location.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in injection moulding with understanding of process parameters and optimisation.
• Proven experience in mould mounting using overhead gantry cranes and hoists.
• Strong understanding of mould tool construction, design, and architecture.
• Experience with or knowledge of six-axis robots is desirable.

• Perform mould tool changes in line with production schedules and requirements.

• Support Supervisors in obtaining First-Off approval for each batch.
• Complete production documentation accurately and promptly.
• Liaise with Tool Room and Quality Control to support production and resolve issues.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Production Technician | Wotton (RH5) | Full Time - On Site | Permanent

The Process Technician is responsible for supporting production and laboratory machinery to ensure optimal performance, efficient operations, and the consistent manufacture of high-quality components that meet approved quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mould tool changes in accordance with production schedules and operational requirements.
• Set up, monitor, and optimise injection moulding parameters to ensure the production of components that meet quality control standards.
• Support Mould Shop Supervisors in obtaining First-Off approval at the commencement of each production batch.
• Complete all required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise effectively with the Tool Room and Quality Control departments to support production activities and resolve any issues.
• Undertake additional duties as required to meet operational needs.
• Maintain and promote a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in injection moulding processes, including a thorough understanding of process parameters and optimisation.
• Proven experience in mould mounting using overhead gantry cranes and hoists.
• Strong understanding of mould tool construction, design, and architecture.
• Experience operating or working with six-axis robots is desirable.
• Good computer literacy, including proficiency in email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and document preparation.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments compliant with ISO 14644 standards.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and procedures aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds (approximately 25.0 kg) without assistance.
• Demonstrates integrity, reliability, initiative, and self-motivation.
• Effective communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
