Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Totnes is seeking a Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. You will assemble, test, calibrate and inspect high-precision products, ensuring quality and on-time delivery to customers worldwide.

In this hands-on role you will follow procedures, maintain records, support continuous improvement, and work closely with fellow technicians and production leadership. The position offers circa £28,500, 25 days holiday, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow production schedules and work instructions.
• Understanding of technical drawings and assembly documentation.

• Good manual dexterity and practical assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test and inspect products, sensors, prototypes and special builds
• Carry out product calibration and quality inspections
• Follow manufacturing processes and build documentation accurately
• Complete production records, traceability documentation and test reports
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
• Monitor stock levels of manufacturing consumables
• Ensure compliance with quality, ESD, COSHH and health & safety procedures
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area
• Collaborate closely with fellow Production Technicians and production leadership

This Production Technician opportunity offers the chance to work on the assembly, testing, calibration, and inspection of highly engineered products in a modern production facility. As a Production Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are built to the highest quality standards and delivered on time to customers worldwide.

The Role

As a Production Technician, you will:
