Candour Talent Ltd is recruiting a Production Technician for a Bridgend-based client. The role involves manufacturing electrical and mechanical assemblies, following build documents, and completing quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture electrical and mechanical assemblies per build documents (drawings, wiring schedules, schematics, Excel/Word).
• Complete all quality checks and paperwork related to builds.
• Assemble top-level products by integrating sub-assemblies.
• Report issues to production management promptly for corrective actions with engineering.
• Follow RTV/NCR process for non-conforming parts.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the production area.
• Commission and test all products to predefined plans.
• Provide feedback on documentation during validation phase of new products.

Candour Talent are currently recruiting for an Production Technician to join our client based in Bridgend.

• Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time
• Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Half day Friday)

Our client is looking for a detail-orientated and reliable Production Technician to join their innovative team in Bridgend. This role comes with long-term job security and a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will undertake the build and test of the client's full range of hi-tech products, requiring a high level of team working as well as the ability to take ownership of problems and deliver solutions on time.

The Role:

• Manufacture of electrical and mechanical assemblies in accordance with build documents, these take the form of mechanical assembly drawings, wiring schedules, electrical schematics, and Microsoft Excel & Word documents.
• Complete all relevant quality checks and paperwork relating to the above builds.
• Complete top level build of products by incorporating previously built sub-assemblies.
• Report any issues back to production management in good time and a concise manner so that corrective and preventive actions may be discussed with engineering.
• All non-conforming parts must follow the RTV/NCR process
• Be responsible for 5S & housekeeping of the production area ensuring standards are maintained.
• Commission and test all products to pre-defined plans.
• During the validation phase of new product development provide feedback on documentation and the ease of build.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3-5 years' experience within a similar role.
• Educated to a minimum BTEC level 3 or equivalent A level in an electrical / electronic discipline.
• Excellent hand and eye coordination.
• Efficient time management and organisation skills.
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and for long durations.
• Strong level of attention to detail that helps maintain accuracy and error detection.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
