Job description

Role Overview

The role involves working in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray equipment, focusing on detailed component assembly in a semi-cleanroom environment. The production room cleaner will be responsible for daily cleaning operations of the chemistry lab, clean room, assembly area, and shop floor.

• Thorough cleaning of the clean room following clean room protocols. Regular cleaning of other production areas as assigned by the duty manager on a weekly basis.

• Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and other production equipment).

• Work will primarily be in a carefully controlled environment to prevent particulate contamination and maintain high cleanliness standards.

• The role includes cleaning, supporting detailed component cleaning, leak checking of parts, and general assembly support such as component cleaning and preparation.

• Support and assist with daily operation and maintenance of the chemistry lab.

Key Skills:

• Discipline to maintain best working practices within the chemistry lab.

• Adherence to health and safety practices, including wearing appropriate PPE and safe handling of chemicals.

• Monitoring inventory levels and ordering materials and supplies as needed, with the ability to recommend inventory adjustments based on usage data.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a cleaner in a clean room, chemistry lab, assembly, manufacturing, or factory environment.

• Experience in component assembly processes is advantageous.

• Ability to work well within a team, supporting and assisting colleagues.

• Experience handling chemicals, conducting lower-level testing, and supporting assembly tasks.
