Job summary

A-Gas UK is seeking a Production Technician for our Portbury site. You will join the site operations team, handling gas cleaning and distillation systems, gas filling and cylinder handling, and supporting waste and refrigerant gas operations.

No night shifts; full training provided. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll perform daily cylinder preparation and dispatch, quality checks, and site housekeeping to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English required.
Good spoken English essential.
Flexible, reliable and safety-minded.
Forklift license desirable.
Experience in industrial environment desirable.

Responsibilities

Preparing, decanting, filling, picking and dispatching of cylinders, as well as working in the waste recovery process.
Follow all operational processes and carry out quality control checks.
Safely operate lifting gear or forklifts to move stock, as required.
Monitor production equipment and perform routine maintenance.
Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work environment at workstations and in storage areas so as to reduce incidents/accidents and present a professional image to customers and visitors.

Production Technician

Our site operational hours are between 6am and 6pm. No night shifts

Full training provided.

What’s the purpose of this role?

You’ll be part of the site operations teams, carrying out and supporting production duties. Duties include operating custom-built gas cleaning and distillation systems, gas filling systems and cylinder handling systems. In addition you may support the smooth running of the waste, speciality and refrigerant gas operations.
