Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting a Production Operative for the Stoney Stanton site (LE9 4JJ). Shifts are 07:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with overtime and a 42.5-hour week. The role involves cylinder filling, movement, and strict safety and quality procedures, with full training provided.

We offer free on-site parking, PPE, and access to MyPath online training. A DBS check is required, and candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather and carry heavy loads up to 47 kg.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Experience in production/manufacturing is beneficial.
• Manual handling of gas cylinders up to 47 kg.
• Outdoor work in all weathers requiring resilience.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production targets at shift start.
• Operate process to meet targets; rotate on cylinder filling, maintenance and inspection.
• Load and unload cylinder vehicles.
• Perform cylinder re-qualification activities as required.
• Ensure client standards during filling.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the yard area.

Expectations of the role

• Successful candidates will require a full driving licence.
• Experience in production, manufacture, construction, or labouring highly beneficial
• Manual handling and movement of gas cylinders up too a maximum weight of 47kgs
• Working outdoors in all weathers - resilience is key
• Physical work load
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict control and quality procedures

Responsibilities

• Delivering targets set by production leadership at the start of the shift.
• Safely operate process to meet production targets. Rotate on Cylinder filling, maintenance and inspection activities as required by production leadership.
• Loading and unloading cylinder vehicles as required.
• Perform any Cylinder re-qualification activities as requested.
• Ensure client standards are adhered to during the filling process.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard area.
