Job summary

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Production Technician to join our manufacturing team at Steatite Antennas in Leominster.

In this hands-on role, you will support the construction, assembly, testing and production of bespoke RF and electrical products used within demanding and mission-critical environments. Working within a technical manufacturing setting, you will help ensure the highest standards of quality, precision and reliability are consistently achieved.

This is a full-time, site-based permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical instructions and engineering drawing packs
• Assemble RF and electrical products using hand and power tools
• Inspect components, sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Carry out soldering and intricate assembly activities
• Test finished products and diagnose faults where required
• Convert stock materials into production components
• Maintain accurate production records and report issues
• Support continuous improvement and collaborate with other departments
• Ensure safe working practices and adherence to company procedures

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment
• Background within an electrical or mechanical discipline desirable
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Soldering experience and assembly skills
• Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Positive, adaptable and solution-focused approach
