Job summary

Steatite Antennas is recruiting for a Production Operative to join our growing team in Leominster. You will work in the production laboratory, supporting the manufacture of our antenna systems and developing into a Production Technician through structured training.

The role offers full in-house training, hands-on practice with assembly, and a clear career pathway, with emphasis on quality processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
• A hands-on role requiring accurate workmanship and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop into a Production Technician through structured training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and components for production.
• Build mechanical sub-assemblies and assemble higher-volume products.
• Read engineering drawings (full training provided) and carry out inspections.
• Complete production documentation and support stores and packing when required.

This role is more than just production work—it offers a genuine opportunity to develop into a Production Technician through structured training and hands‑on experience.

What You Will Be Doing

Working within our production laboratory, you'll support the manufacture of our products by:

• Preparing materials and components for production.
• Building mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Assembling higher-volume products.
• Working with adhesives, sealants and coaxial cable preparation.
• Using a variety of hand tools safely and accurately.
• Reading engineering drawings (full training provided).
• Carrying out visual and dimensional inspections.
• Completing production documentation.
• Supporting other production areas, including Stores and Packing, when required.

• Good practical and manual skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

• The ability to follow instructions accurately.
