Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd at Newton Abbot is seeking a Production Team Manager to lead and develop the day shift production team for a fixed 20-month contract. You will ensure safe, efficient manufacturing of ice cream and desserts while driving continuous improvement and cost reduction.

You will work with other functions to plan, prioritise and deliver work, manage materials and finished goods, and report on performance metrics to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to influence people at all levels and lead teams.
• Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in IT software such as Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop one Production Operations team to deliver high quality products.
• Drive Health & Safety within the area and promote a strong safety culture.
• Develop the team to meet KPI targets: safety, quality, delivery, cost.
• Collaborate with other functions to prioritise and deliver work plans.
• Support and supervise materials handling and dispatch of finished goods.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using CI principles.
