Job summary

ACS Performance is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead assembly and machining operations in a manufacturing environment. You will drive continuous improvement, develop employees and improve production performance while ensuring quality and efficiency.

You will collaborate with planning and other departments to optimise schedules, resources and output, delivering training and upskilling to enhance team capability and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or supervising teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience managing production activities, ideally within assembly, machining or a similar manufacturing operation.
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop employees.
• Experience monitoring production KPIs and improving operational performance.
• A practical understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to make decisions and take ownership.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with planning and other operational departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop production teams across assembly and machining operations.
• Monitor production performance against KPIs and implement improvements where required.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support the development and implementation of manufacturing policies, procedures and standard working practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and overall operational performance.
• Deliver training and upskilling initiatives to enhance team capability and flexibility.
• Lead operational improvement projects, ensuring objectives and deadlines are achieved.
• Work closely with the planning team to optimise production schedules, resources and output.
• Communicate production performance, operational challenges and improvement plans to relevant stakeholders.
• Promote a positive working environment focused on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide support to other operational areas when required.
