DCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business in Greater Manchester. You will supervise operators and apprentices, coordinate workloads and work with production schedulers to meet safety, quality and delivery targets.

This on-site, permanent role requires at least three years in a metallic manufacturing environment, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Production Supervisor

£36,000 per annum + performance bonus paid every six months

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business in Greater Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least three years production supervisory experience within a metallic manufacturing environment, such as sheet metal or machining.

You will supervise a team of operators and apprentices, coordinate workloads and work closely with production schedulers to ensure operations are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise operators and apprentices, allocating work and ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to complete their tasks.


• Proactively resolve operational issues and maintain high standards of quality.


• Work closely with production schedulers to plan capacity and ensure required operations are completed on time.


• Promote lean manufacturing practices and identify opportunities to eliminate the eight wastes.


• Maintain a safe, clean and organised manufacturing environment.


• Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and 5S standards.


• Communicate professionally with colleagues, other departments and external contacts.


• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Skills
