Job summary

Eaton’s Lakeside facility in Redditch, UK, is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily production within a defined area. You will drive safety, quality and efficiency using EBS and CIF methodologies, while coordinating with support functions to achieve targets.

You will champion 5S, coach team members, organize training, and manage meetings and audits to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Front line leadership experience with team management.
• Experience leading safety, quality and productivity improvements.
• First aid training is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing activities within a defined area.
• Drive continuous improvement in production, quality and safety using Eaton Business System (EBS) and CIF.
• Promote safe working practices and life saving rules; ensure compliance with MOC procedures.
• Run production meetings, manage MESH, audits, and KPIs; communicate risks early for mitigation.
• Coach and develop team members; plan overtime and attendances; manage training plans.

This is where innovation meets reliability, and where every product plays a role in keeping fleets airborne and operations secure.What you’ll do:The position is responsible for leading the day-to-day running of all activities associated with manufacturing within a defined production area. The supervisors make sure that the production team is running smoothly and efficiently and interfaces with support teams to escalate issues and achieve goals. The position leads continuous improvement in production, quality, and safety while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure assigned manufacturing area is operating safely, promoting a zero incident culture by ensuring adherance to the life saving rules (e.g. Machine Guarding, Lock Out Tag Out) and following Management of Change Procedures.To lead and update production meetings, including Material Review Boards to ensure compliance and targets are met to all safety (MESH requirements), quality (inc Audits), labour, production and customer requirements on a daily basis. Communicating at the earliest opportunity and using the applicable processes any risks seen to achieve this.To Own all applicable QLI’s and fully understand their deployment to support quality within area and plant.To Lead Continuous improvement activities/kaizens in their defined production cell to ensure requirements of OPA, ELSS and the plants future state are being met and improved.
