Job summary

Eaton's Lakeside facility seeks an experienced Production Leader to drive overall manufacturing management and continuous improvement. The role focuses on lean deployment, safety, quality, and on-time delivery while leading production teams to achieve financial and strategic targets.

You will champion Lean Manufacturing, EBS and ECIS methodologies, coach supervisors, and coordinate with engineering, program management and supply chain to meet NPI objectives and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of related professional and supervisory/managerial experience.
• Good understanding of Eaton systems and LEAN concepts.
• Knowledge of quality and process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to direct cross-functional process improvement teams.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100 or QS9000 standards is a plus.

• Lead continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events and value stream improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability requirements and MESH standards.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain and Quality for New Product Introductions (NPI).
• Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team for strategic planning and execution.

To achieve this the role assumes overall responsibility for leading production teams in achieving production to meet the agreed financial and strategic goals, product quality, product cost, and employee safety. It will require coordination with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements and leverage resources to motivate personnel to create a high-performance culture. To enable this lead LEAN process deployment, training and mentoring at the plant level and the implementation of LEAN strategy, which will drive improvements in factory margins, production manning plan ,capacity plan (supporting SIOP step3) , product delivery performance (Quality , OTD, OTC, Pastdues, absorbtion targets, productivity), employee safety and reductions in product/process variation.What you’ll do:Strategically lead and direct all production activities to ensure customer requirements are met while delivering world-class performance in Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), On-Time to Cycle (OTC), Past Due reduction, productivity, inventory, and cost performance. Ensuring production manning plan is inplace for covering plants monthly targets, creating High Performance Working teams, Leading and improving Tier structures, daily accountability for production function.Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and manufacturing teams to build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, employee engagement, continuous learning, and succession readiness.Drive achievement of plant profit plan commitments by improving labour productivity, capacity utilization, inventory performance, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.Provide leadership and accountability for the deployment and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing, Eaton Business System (EBS), and Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) methodologies across manufacturing and supporting functions, driving productivity improvements, operational efficiency, waste elimination, and factory cost-out initiatives.Lead continuous improvement activities including training, coaching, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, value stream improvements, benchmarking, and deployment of EBS tools to develop organizational capability and embed a culture of operational excellence. Accountable for improving and sustaining Eaton Operational Assessment (OpA) performance through disciplined execution of standard work, operational controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability requirements, including Eaton MESH standards, local regulatory obligations, and corporate policies, while fostering a zero-incident culture. (Supporting MESH requirements by being champion)Ensure Quality Leadership Index (QLI) objectives are achieved and that product quality, process compliance, and product integrity requirements are fully integrated into daily manufacturing operations and continuous improvement activities. Drive manufacturing quality performance through robust problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, considering DFMEA/PFMEA and lessons learned, audit readiness, and adherence to all customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality standards through Qiality council .Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Quality functions to support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring successful industrialization, manufacturability, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved throughout product launch phases.Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, operational reviews, talent development, succession planning, and the execution of site goals and business objectives.Qualifications:Multiple years of related professional and Supervisory/Managerial experience.
