Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Poole

Are you an experienced supervisor looking to advance into a managerial role, leading a large team and mentoring colleagues? Do you have experience in machining and want to join an internationally trading company that offers progression and an early finish on Fridays?

This company has been established for over seventy years, employing more than ninety people within a 70,000 sq ft facility. They are a mechanical component manufacturer serving both domestic and international clients, with plans for significant growth.

The successful candidate will oversee the production operations, managing a team of 25, including 3 direct reports. Responsibilities include mentoring the team, maintaining operational workflows, and ensuring production deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the production team and ensure manufacturing deadlines are achieved.
2. Manage a team of 25 on the workshop floor.
3. Prepare weekly reports for the MD on operational status.
4. Optimize production efficiency and workflow across various machining processes.
5. Collaborate with the production planner, engineer, and other supervisors to improve processes.

Person Specification:

• Experience in machining.
• Proven leadership in team management.

Working Hours: 8:30 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday, 8:30 - 14:00 Friday.
