A leading chocolate manufacturer in Norwich seeks a factory supervisor to enhance their production operations. The role involves leadership in the production department, focusing on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while managing a motivated team to boost operational performance.

We are growing, investing in our people and our growth strategies and now need a factory supervisor to take us to the next leg of our journey.
Responsible for Production and Packing Departments, producing high quality, value added products for our suppliers and customers. You will be a key part of the Management Team and will be accountable for achieving Company led Key Performance Indicators and will drive continuous improvement activity to further enhance and improve these key measures for the company.
Overall Purpose of the Role: Lead the manufacturing function to ensure a seamless, efficient and cost-effective supply chain, managing budgets and department expenditure, workforce engagement and motivation. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. You will be responsible for ensuring that all procedures and systems that are in place are reviewed and maintained regularly to maximise all available resources and that initiatives and activities are designed and embedded to improve the Manufacturing Function. Working closely with the Head of Operations and the other Production and Warehouse Supervisor will be essential to creating a smooth and effective running of the department.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Development
• To maximise operational efficiency and output in line with the annual budget set
• Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Manage the team using best practice and establish standard policies and procedures.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement techniques and modern manufacturing principals, highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
• Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
working Monday to Friday 06.30 to 16:00 hrs
Salary up to £35k dependent on experience.
