Job summary

The Difference Engine is seeking a SQL Server Production DBA to join our client's corporate team. You will work with a small, supportive team of experienced DBAs providing production-level DBA support across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.

This contractor role has no fixed shift pattern; occasional out-of-hours deployments may be required, and travel to the client’s South East location may be necessary. DBS checks apply as part of pre-employment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing production DBA support for SQL Server.
• Strong on-premises and Azure cloud SQL Server experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and incidents.
• PowerShell and SSIS experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live databases and assist development teams with deployments into production environments.
• Optimise SQL code for performance and reliability.
• Participate in incident, change and problem management processes.
