Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Production Shift Manager in Poole, Dorset. The role offers a salary around GBP 48,000 to GBP 48,600 plus a 10% bonus, with a Monday to Friday 3-shift pattern.

The position sits within a leading manufacturing group and involves overseeing production, planning, procurement, and leadership of the section leaders, driving improvements and best practices across the operation.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering or manufacturing background across multiple process lines.
• Experience in people management, performance reviews, and development.
• Green Belt Six Sigma certification.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and manage section leaders.
• Plan and forecast production requirements through lifecycle.
• Oversee scheduling, procurement, and cost-effective purchasing.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide leadership to direct reports and meet objectives.
• Support introduction of new manufacturing processes and share best practices.

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products thats quality is recognised as second to none. Due to exciting plans for 2026 they are looking for a Production Shift Manager to join their Senior Management Team.

Role And Responsibilities

• Overseeing all production and managing the section leaders.
• Developing and communicate long term visibility of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the product
• Overseeing, scheduling, and forecasting of planning activities, overseeing procurement and ensuring that purchasing is cost effective
• Interface between internal and external stakeholders,
• Provide leadership and direction to all direct reports and ensure objectives are met
• Support introduction of new manufacturing processes and ensuring best practice is shared in the group

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Strong engineering or manufacturing background with multiple process lines
• Experience of people management including performance management, training and development
• Green Belt 6 Sigma
• Process improvement knowledge
