Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Achieve production targets, quality standards, and KPI targets.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and sign-off against training matrix.
• Ensure documentation, weights, codes, checks and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and equipment condition; comply with procedures.
• Drive waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a motivated Shift Manager to join a market leading company within their field. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of production within their operation. Role Description:

• Lead and manage the shift, following operational requirements and ensuring a safe, efficient working environment.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, changeover times and efficiency KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Allocate and delegate work within the packing area, manage staff rotation and ensure employees are trained and signed off against the training matrix.
• Ensure production paperwork, weights, codes, checks and other required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, workwear, equipment condition and compliance with company procedures.
• Minimise waste and drive continuous improvement through Lean initiatives, workshops and improved working practices.
• Manage and develop Team Leaders and staff, including appraisals, performance management, return-to-work meetings and disciplinary processes, while ensuring effective shift handovers.
