Job summary

Advantest is seeking a Field Service professional to provide after-sales support for its automated test equipment in the Bristol area. You will install, calibrate, upgrade and maintain systems, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and integrate solutions into customers’ environments.

The role requires strong collaboration across global teams, experience with ATE/test equipment, and knowledge of C++/scripting with debugging tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with semiconductor ATE equipment such as Tester & Handler.
  • Proficiency in C++, scripting and 93000 tools for debugging.
  • Knowledge of Linux (Redhat) and IT networks preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Team player with global work environment experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide after-sales service support for Advantest’s ATE equipment (installation, upgrade, calibration, maintenance).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair systems.
  • Spare parts management.
  • Test cell support.
  • Integrate systems and services into customers' environments.
  • Install, adapt and configure system software per customer requirements and Advantest regulations.
  • Resolve a broad range of hardware and software problems.
  • Collect and relay customer requirements for product improvements and new developments.
  • Manage short-term projects using project management methodologies.

Job description

  • Provide after-sales service support for Advantest’s advanced Automated Test Equipment such as installation, upgrade, calibration and maintenance, etc.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnose and repair of systems.
  • Spareparts management.
  • Test Cell Support.
  • Integration of systems and services into customer’s environment.
  • Install, adapt and configure systems software (e.g. Operating System, Tester Software, tools, etc.) according to customer requirements and Advantest regulations.
  • Solves a broad range of hardware and software problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • Collect, evaluate and provide customer requirements for consideration in product improvements and new product developments.
  • Handle short term projects and achieve results by applying project management methodology.
Requirements
  • University Degree / Master / Bachelor in Electronic Engineering or technical school (associate engineering degree) inclusive practical experience
  • Experienced in handling semiconductor ATE equipment such as Tester & Handler.
  • Knowledgeable in C++, script programming and 93000 software/debugging tools will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in MS Office. Preferred skills in Linux (Redhat) operating system and IT networks
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
  • Ability and motivation to work in teams and in global environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work under pressure
