About this opportunity

Your work environment: CarnaudMetalbox Engineering is recruiting a Production Scheduling Coordinator to join our scheduling team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Your mission at CMbE:

This role will be responsible for using outputs from the MRP2 process, coordinating tasks required to complete and fulfill customer orders and projects on time. You will interact and influence tasks performed by Sales, Design, Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Stores, Assembly, and Dispatch. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficiency and accuracy using MRP2, with competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Scheduling or Supply Chain experience, along with knowledge of bills of materials, routings, part types, purchase orders, and sales orders—preferably in a scheduling support or transactional role—are essential.

Primary responsibilities include liaising with key departments such as Sales during the quote phase, providing lead time estimates, ensuring engineering meets target issue dates, and checking data integrity of part setups. You will also ensure Production Engineering makes timely Make/Buy decisions, produce routings for Make parts to enable production work orders, and produce schedules for Bar and Casting Stores. Additionally, you will collaborate with Finance for standard cost build-ups on Make parts to facilitate production of Work Orders.
