Job summary

Copello Global is recruiting a Production Scheduler for our Fareham-based facility, supporting a leading aerospace and defence manufacturer.

You will create and manage short-term production schedules, release work orders, and collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement, and Quality to secure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in production control, scheduling, or shop floor coordination.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production workflows.
• Ability to manage constraints, adjust schedules rapidly, and collaborate across functions.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed short-term production schedules aligned with customer priorities and the broader plan.
• Release and sequence work orders to maximise efficiency and minimise disruption from constraints.
• Monitor WIP and production performance; identify bottlenecks, risks and overdue orders and implement recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement and Quality to resolve shortages and support smooth execution of the schedule.
• Track schedule adherence and provide updates on risks, deviations and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Support production planning and operational review meetings with clear communication of priorities and delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate planning data in ERP systems, updating lead times and master data reflectively.
• Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, data accuracy and production execution to support on-time delivery.

Key Job Activities

• Create and manage detailed short-term production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer priorities, material availability, and the wider production plan.
• Release and sequence work orders to maximise production efficiency and minimise disruption when constraints arise.
• Monitor work-in-progress and production performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks, risks, and overdue orders, implementing recovery plans where required.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve material shortages and support the smooth execution of the production schedule.
• Track schedule adherence and production performance, providing regular updates on risks, deviations, and corrective actions to key stakeholders.
• Support production planning and operational review meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities and delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP systems, ensuring production parameters, lead times, and master data reflect operational capability.
• Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, data accuracy, and production execution to support on-time delivery and operational performance.
